Miss Kari embarked on her dance journey at the age of 3, and her passion for the performing arts has only grown stronger over the years. She has a technical background in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip-hop–with tap being her favorite and most specialized style! At the age of 13, Miss Kari pursued dancing competitively, where she earned multiple high-scoring awards. During her high school years, she branched out and became heavily involved in the hip-hop community. During this time, Miss Kari performed and competed with Nu Era Dance Team and trained at reputable studios such as BoogieZone and IDA Hollywood. During her senior year, Miss Kari completed her dance training with the Kennedy Dance Team at JFK Middle College High School. Upon graduating high school, Miss Kari quickly discovered her love for teaching and coaching dance! With ten years of teaching experience under her belt, she focuses on creating a structured learning environment while also fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for her students. Over the years, she has successfully coached and guided numerous teams and soloists to achieve top awards and high scores. Moreover, Miss Kari is devoted to sharing her love for dance with individuals of all ages, inspiring her students to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Currently, Miss Kari is pursuing her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Teaching dance ultimately inspired her to become a pediatric occupational therapist. She aims to enrich her dance instruction with the knowledge gained during her studies, enhancing her students’ dance abilities while promoting their overall well-being!
